Kathy and Henry didn’t exactly hit it off in the beginning. The fact that they are both two extremely dedicated chartered accountants probably explains why: Kathy and Henry first met while were working for the same media company and it was Kathy’s job to audit Henry’s work. The process ignited many heated arguments over financial statements; but a dinner-date, outside of work, sparked a romance that left little time for number crunching. Two and a half years later, Henry proposed on one knee to Kathy during a blustery stroll through Toronto’s Distillery District. Kathy threw all the caution of a chartered accountant to the wind, and screamed “Get up! Of course I do!” The couple was married in the lush gardens of Graydon Hall Manor surrounded by friends and family from all over the world. Henry’s three aunts from England honored the couple by donning brightly colored hats—a traditional English wedding custom. Ikonica’s Director, Jackson Huang, had the pleasure of photographing this happy occasion not long after shooting their engagement session at the Distillery District.

Seeing that picture of Henry’s mom and her sisters makes me happy. Every time.
